They pampered us for my husband's birthday and added hot stones, but in reality the stones were almost not felt. They were placed on top of a towel as if it were a weight and the heat was not felt at all. From what I know, they are supposed to be placed directly on the body so that the heat really penetrates and relaxes the muscle, and in addition, the oil they used was cold.
